Ian Barter Appointed EGM

11 AUGUST 2021

Frasers Property Industrial has announced the appointment of Ian Barter to Executive General Manager, Australia. Effective this month, the major appointment comes as the company continues to grow its multi-national platform, with the Australian business demonstrating strong performance over the past financial year.

As Executive General Manager, Mr Barter will be responsible for leading all business functions across Frasers Property Industrial’s Australian platform.

Reini Otter, Chief Executive Officer of Frasers Property Industrial comments, “The industrial and logistics sector globally has undergone rapid growth since the strategic business unit was formed in late 2019. With a landbank now of over 2.5 million square metres, the scale of the business with assets under management of over S$4.1 billion and its portfolio 100% occupied made it a priority to appoint an Executive General Manager.

“Ian’s leadership skills, commercial acumen, market experience and intimate knowledge of our business make him an exceptional appointment to this role. I’m looking forward to working closely with Ian to continue expanding our Australian business.”

Ian Barter, Executive General Manager, Australia of Frasers Property Industrial comments, “I’ve been with Frasers Property for 16 years and have seen the business grow exponentially. Frasers Property Industrial has a strong development pipeline and a quality portfolio, but most importantly, a talented and enthusiastic team.”

“These are important elements of our business that support our market-leading position and enable us to provide future-focused, innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers. Our objective is to create the best places for our people and customers to make a better, bolder future, and I’m excited to lead the Australian team in achieving this.”

Ian was previously General Manager, Northern Region at Frasers Property Industrial. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all development and asset management activities across the company’s portfolio in New South Wales and Queensland. Prior to this, he served as General Manager for New South Wales and General Manager, Business Development.
