- Three new buildings spanning a total lettable area of 49,206 sqm are being constructed on a 10-hectare industrial and commercial site in the Deffingen district
- Frasers Property targets Gold certification from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) for these new buildings
Frasers Property Industrial has appointed BREMER Paderborn GmbH & Co. KG as the General Contractor for its new modern industrial and commercial park in Günzburg, Bavaria, Germany, with completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.
Plans for the development concept were drawn up in close consultation with the municipality of Günzburg, with the industrial and commercial park designed for use by logistics, industry, trade and commerce organisations. The three facilities will feature a clear height of 8 – 12.2 meters to serve the needs of a variety of customers, with a focus on companies that operate nationwide as well as small businesses and manufacturers with smaller space requirements.
Alexander Heubes, Managing Director Europe of Frasers Property Industrial, said: "The handover of the building permit marking the start of development represents another important milestone for Frasers Property’s industrial portfolio in Germany. We are targeting DGNB Gold certification for the development and in doing so, we help drive higher standards in the region’s industrial and logistics property sector."
The constructed buildings will be equipped with solar photovoltaic systems, with two receiving an additional green roof. Frasers Property’s industrial business is also aiming for a Gold certification for CO2-reduced and transparent demolition of an industrial site from the DGNB. To reduce waste, CO2 emissions and the environmental impact of vehicle movements, Frasers Property applied circular economy principles such as recycling materials from the demolition of existing buildings on the site.
Frasers Property’s industrial and commercial park in Günzburg is strategically located between Munich and Stuttgart, in a region with high industrial and production density. The district town has its own motorway connection to the A8, while the motorway junction to the A7 is 17 km away, as well as an ICE railway connection close to the facility.
