Modern Slavery Statement

01 APRIL 2021

Frasers Property Industrial, Frasers Property Australia and FLT Australia Trust have worked together to develop our first Modern Slavery Statement to identify and remedy modern slavery risks which, on current estimates, affects 40.3 million people trapped in forced labour or forced marriage circumstances.

Our statement aims to respond to this international crisis, developed in accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018, committing our businesses to diving deeper into our supply chains, collaborating even more closely with our suppliers to understand their relationships, to be more readily able to identify and mitigate modern slavery risks in our operations and those of the organisations we work with.

We recognise we must be part of a larger effort to address this crisis, which is why we work with the Property Council of Australia as part of the Modern Slavery Working Group.

Our core values drive everything we do. We have taken a progressive risk-based approach to managing modern slavery and supporting a culture of ethical behaviour, corporate compliance and good corporate governance across our organisation.

It encompasses our process for working closely with our principal contractors and suppliers to identify the potential risk of modern slavery in their operations, and a Corrective Action Plan, which sets out how we mitigate and remediate any risks identified.

The Statement stipulates a forensic assessment of our supply chain, the engagement of external expertise to ensure independence and rigour, and a collaborative approach to reporting our progress and findings. It is embedded into our business processes, supported by training programs.

Our commitment to never stop looking for modern slavery risks, and to always be prepared to act whenever a risk is identified, is business as usual. Until 40.3 million people becomes zero, it will continue to be.
