Pharmaserv Logistics has signed a 10-year lease agreement with Frasers Property Industrial for a 9,895 sqm facility, which will incorporate high-quality customised warehouse space for the business. Pharmaserv Logistics is planning to move in early 2025.

The Tube is a state-of-the-art multifunctional industrial and logistics park offering 74,000 sqm of rentable space to customers. It will comprise of eight units of different sizes, which can be tailored to a wide range of uses and logistical requirements for businesses. The location provides exceptional access to transport networks, which will seamlessly connect customers to the rest of Germany and Europe, as well as international airports and ports.

The Tube is designed to achieve industry-leading sustainability standards and is aiming to support carbon-neutral operation. It is also targeting DGNB Platinum certification for the project.

Extensive sustainability measures will also be implemented at the future site including the installation of a large-scale photovoltaic system, an intelligent heating system based on state-of-the-art heat pump technology, and a smart metering system to optimise energy consumption.

The Tube offers access to significant quality outdoor open spaces and workout areas, including table tennis and picnic tables, as well as dedicated sanitary facilities for drivers, supporting visitor and employee health and wellbeing.

Alexander Heubes, Managing Director Europe, Frasers Property Industrial, said: “We’re delighted to announce Pharmaserv Logistics as our first customer at The Tube and look forward to welcoming them to the new facility when it opens in 2025. We highly appreciate their trust in our company and are looking forward to celebrate with an opening ceremony.”

“It’s a fantastic location with strong transport links to support distribution and it’s also being designed as a first-class working environment, with a focus on sustainability, as well as employee health and wellbeing. As a company that is committed to supporting our planet and people, we know how important it is for our customers as well, and we’re pleased to be able to deliver this next-generation facility and workplace for Pharmaserv Logistics.”

North Rhine-Westphalia is one of the largest pharmaceutical production locations in Germany and Pharmaserv Logistics is investing heavily for growth in this area.

Dr. Martin Egger, Managing Director, Pharmaserv GmbH, said: “The greater Düsseldorf region is a strong pharmaceutical hub and being able to operate from The Tube will help us to further expand. Thanks to its excellent infrastructure connections, it means we can reach our customers faster and operate more efficiently. We already have a major customer in the immediate vicinity that we will be able to supply with customised production-related logistics services when we move into our new home at The Tube.”

"As a new facility, the interior fit-out will be tailored to our business needs and meet the GxP-requirements of the pharmaceutical industry which made The Tube an attractive choice for the expansion of our operations.”
