Komatsu Australia opens new facility in Canvas West, Victoria

09 April 2024

We are proud to announce that we have completed Komatsu Australia’s new state-of-the-art facility at Canvas West, in Victoria.

This new facility combines 12,016 sqm of warehouse space with a 510 sqm double-storey office and is targeting a 5 Star Green Star design & As-Built v1.3 rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.

Purpose-built for the multi-national heavy equipment manufacturer to be used for construction and utility parts, the warehouse features innovative automation technology, four recessed loading docks, and five at-grade roller shutter doors. Komatsu has expanded its team at the site with 33 new starters and committed to a 10-year lease.

We celebrated with an official opening ceremony attended by Komatsu and their staff last week including Executive General Manager - Supply Chain at Komatsu Australia Russel Hodson and the Bunurung Land Council Aboriginal Corporation who performed a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony.

We’d like to thank all of our partners on the project including our builder Texco Construction and Savills leasing agents, Laagan Whalan and Scott Nienhuis.
