WELL Certification, Central Park in Perth, WA

May 2021

Central Park in Perth is one of the first assets in the Western Australian market to achieve a whole building rating using the International WELL Building Institute’s globally recognised WELL Health-Safety framework. The rating was achieved in partnership with JLL as the long term building management team and supports FLCT’s market leading approach to managing the health and wellbeing of occupants within the built environment.

The WELL Health-Safety Rating, which consists of a subset of relevant features from the WELL Building Standard (WELL) adapted for facility operations and management, was informed by the COVID-19 pandemic, but has broader applicability for supporting the long-term health and safety needs of people in a given space.

Key achievements as part of this rating include:

  • Keeping an inventory of all high-touch surfaces and implementing measures to reduce/eliminate the frequency of contact with high-  touch surfaces
  • Conducted risk assessments and developed a comprehensive emergency management plan to improve Central Park’s response to various emergencies
  • Adopting the Building Re-occupation Guide created by JLL to facilitate safer re-entry and create a healthier environment after re-entry

This milestone signifies Frasers Property Industrial's efforts to prepare Central Park for re-entry in a post-COVID-19 environment, instilling confidence in occupants and the broader community.
