- HAAF Warehouse Logistics GmbH, partnering with JAS Forwarding GmbH leases 11,728 square metres of logistics space
- The commercial and logistics property offers excellent connections to freeways, Düsseldorf Airport, rail traffic and the ports of Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Antwerp
- Start of occupancy scheduled for early August 2021
Frasers Property Industrial has announced it has secured a follow-up lease for its property in the industrial park "An den Dieken" near Ratingen in central North-Rhine-Westphalia. The tenant will occupy the warehouse in August. The transport logistics company HAAF Warehouse Logistics GmbH provides services in the automotive, chemical, building materials and packaging industries and is leasing two units at the Ratingen site.
The facility is 11,728 square metres for warehouse and logistics use, 1,409 square metres of office and 540 square metres mezzanine space. In addition, 46 car parking spaces are available to employees onsite.
The site borders the urban areas of Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Mülheim and Essen. Due to its central location within the Rhine-Ruhr region, Frasers Property Industrial’s Ratingen site offers convenience and is close to good infrastructure. A direct link to the A524, A52 and A3 freeways connects the German border with the Netherlands in the northwest. The nearest train station is Duisburg-Rahm, which is located five kilometres west of the property. Düsseldorf International airport is located 15 kilometres to the south and is a 15-minute drive away. Due to its proximity to the ARA ports (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Antwerp), the region acts as a backland hub for the international transport of goods, resulting in an above-average number of wholesalers settling in the area.
Alexander Heubes, Managing Director Europe at Frasers Property Industrial, welcomes the new lease: "We are pleased to be able to provide HAAF Warehouse Logistics GmbH with space at a location with excellent infrastructure. Our current customer VCK decided to consolidate the business in our building in Duisburg; Haaf will take over the space without any downtime.” With our growing portfolio in Europe we are also improving our capabilities to serve customers with existing space which is needed on short notice.
Timo Böhm, Head of Sales and Marketing at HAAF Warehouse Logistics GmbH, said, "On our continuous growth path from freight forwarding to being a pan-European transport-related contract logistics provider, the new warehouse, logistics and office space in Ratingen will allow us to deepen our range of services."
Volker Werner, Managing Director at JAS Forwarding GmbH added: “Our vision of being the global, local forwarding service provider is strengthened by the local partnership with HAAF, in order to strictly pursue our growth targets in a new office with warehouse in Ratingen and to serve our customers with exceptional service.”
HAAF Warehouse Logistics will offer warehousing and distribution services for various goods and commodities from this location.
