  • The opening was attended by Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate, and Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds CEO Naomi Frauenfelder.
  • Created for the precinct’s workforce, the new space aims to support exercise, social interaction and relaxation.

Frasers Property Industrial has officially opened its first dedicated health and wellbeing precinct, Fit Zone, at Vantage Yatala in Queensland this week. The new precinct forms part of the company’s Premium Estates concept that aims to provide healthy, sustainable and high-performing work environments throughout its industrial and logistics portfolio.

According to Superfriend’s 2023 Indicators of a Thriving Workplace report, the transport and logistics sector ranked lowest among Australian industries for workplace mental health and wellbeing. In response, Frasers Property Industrial is investing in high quality amenities across its new estates to enhance the daily experience of customers and employees.

‘Fit Zone’ at Vantage Yatala was created with this in mind. The 4,000 sqm precinct provides easy access to fitness, outdoor space and social facilities, including toilets, walking paths, outdoor gym equipment, barbecues, shaded seating, picnic tables and a full-sized basketball court.

Troy Whalan, General Manager – Queensland at Frasers Property Industrial, said Fit Zone has been purpose-built to create a positive and energising environment for the precinct’s workforce.

“This is one of our first health and wellbeing precincts to launch in an industrial estate. While workplace wellbeing has long been a priority in office environments, it has been far less common in industrial settings. We are proud to set a new benchmark with the opening of Fit Zone at Vantage Yatala.”

The opening was marked with a ribbon cutting by Tom Tate, Mayor of the City of Gold Coast, who acknowledged the broader wellbeing and job creation benefits the precinct is bringing to the region.

Tom Tate, Mayor of The City of Gold Coast, said this precinct has one main focus: to prioritise employee health and well-being.

“This part of the Gold Coast is a huge employment hub with a lot of growth yet to come. Establishing facilities like this shows how focused Fraser Property Industrial is on their staff and customers.

“Word spreads and this sort of investment is an investment not only in a person’s health and well-being but an investment in the brand of this entire industrial area. Congratulations to all involved."

Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds CEO Naomi Frauenfelder also attended the launch and welcomed the investment in creating a healthier and safer environment for the sector.

“Since the Healthy Heads foundation began, Frasers Property Industrial has understood the link between physical wellbeing and mental health in the transport, logistics and warehousing sector. It is fantastic to see the organisation fully committed to delivering industry leading initiatives in its new industrial estates and prioritising the wellbeing of the people who keep this sector moving.

Located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Vantage Yatala sit in Southeast Queensland’s premier industrial precinct, and offers next-generation facilities and sustainability-led outcomes. Key customers at Vantage Yatala include Primary Connect, National Tiles, PFG Australia and Speedpanel.
