Certified at 4Ten Epping, VIC

20 September 2023

As we continue to Shift to Zer0 as a business for a more sustainable future, 4TenEpping in Melbourne’s north three adjoining facilities for Kitchen Warehouse, Crusader Caravans and Intelligent Engineering have achieved a 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built V1.3 rating from the Green Building Council of Australia.

With more than 8,000   new native plants and 125kW solar power system across the three sites, the roof is designed to collect and harvest  up to 125,000 litres of rainwater. Additionally, the installation of remote energy and water monitoring systems provide support to optimise operational efficiency.

The construction of the three facilities  includes a total Gross Lettable Area (GLA) of 38,144 square metres – have also achieved a 42 per cent reduction in upfront embodied emissions. What this means is we used less materials in our buildings and prioritised responsibly sourced products. We’re also proud that we limited our construction waste to a maximum of five kilograms per square metre of Gross Lettable Area (GLA).
