Foodbank volunteering

7 September 2023

Last week, our NSW Asset Management & Sustainability team dedicated a day to volunteering at the Foodbank warehouse in Glendenning, NSW.

Foodbank is Australia's largest hunger relief charity and provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nationwide.

Our team volunteered as warehouse Picker Packers. They were responsible for picking and packing orders, including fruits, vegetables, bread and other groceries. Orders were then stacked, wrapped onto pallets, and moved to loading zones, ready for shipment to relevant charity partners.

We picked and packed an equivalent of 8,031kg and 14,455 meals!

Thank you Rachel Millar, Andrew Caldwell, Pankaj Pandey, Sam Younes, Nick Leyden, Maya Flax, Brian Park, and Alice Knight for participating in the day.
