Demolition nears completion at The Tube

19 January 2023

Frasers Property Industrial is on track to achieve a major sustainability milestone, with demolition almost complete at our brownfield development - The Tube, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

Alongside demolition partners Prangenberg & ZaumImmobilien GmbH and H. Herzog KG, the 14 ha site is targeting the first-ever gold certification from the DGNB Germany Sustainable Building Council for its climate-friendly and transparent demolition of an industrial site.

So far, 5,000 tonnes of construction waste has been purposefully separated for reuse during construction. Another 920 tonnes of raw materials such as concrete, steel, glass, and plastic, were also separated for disposal, with high attention to efficient transport routes and material flows.

We’re proud of our efforts in creating sustainable places for the future.
